Why use your local tackle shop

Search by town or postcode — try “Nottingham” — and you'll see the nearest independent shops with rough distances, opening details and directions. The folk behind the counter usually know exactly what's working on local waters this week, which bait the fisheries allow and which venues are fishing well.

We never claim a shop has something in stock. Give them a ring before you travel, and if you're buying kit you've read about on Tackle Index, ask whether they can order it in — keeping local shops going keeps local fishing knowledge going.
