Littleport (LAA) / Littleport–Ten Mile Bank, River Great Ouse

Littleport/Ten Mile Bank is a huge LAA stretch on the River Great Ouse, running for over 14 miles between Littleport and Ten Mile Bank. It’s wide, slow and deep, with plenty of water to explore and good bream, roach, pike, zander and perch on the cards.

Run by London Anglers Association (LAA) · checked 10 Oct 2026

We don't publish an "ideal level" — nobody can promise one. Flood water is dangerous: if it's up and coloured, stay well back from the edge. Open River Ready

The lowdown

  • This is a proper Fenland Ouse venue. Wide, deep and slow, with the sort of open-water feel that gives you loads of room to hunt around.
  • The surrounding country is incredibly flat and exposed. Lovely when it’s calm, but a strong wind can make the straight river a right handful.
  • The west bank runs from notice boards 60 yards above Littleport High Bridge down to Low’s Farm at Ten Mile Bank.
  • On the east bank, the boundary runs from the same Littleport High Bridge reference to Modney Drove, Southery. Practically all of the stated 14 miles is fishable.
  • Most swims mean a walk over the flood bank, so travel light if you’re planning to move about. There’s plenty of water, but don’t expect every peg to be right beside the car.
  • The main local reference is Littleport High Bridge. The A10 follows the east bank nearby, while a road follows the west bank after turning before the bridge.
  • Bream are a big draw here, with the LAA reporting good bags. Quality roach bags are also reported, so a steady feeder or float approach is well worth a go.
  • Pike and zander are reported to reach good sizes, with perch making up the rest of the main named species. Fish the deeper, slower water and keep an eye on conditions.
  • Power cables cross the fishery at several points. Fishing is prohibited within 30 metres of them, so check where you are before settling into a swim.
  • Parking is available in signed areas on parts of the bank. Park sensibly and keep access clear. Littleport station is about a quarter of a mile away, with Hilgay station roughly one and a half miles away.
  • We're not sure on ticket prices for this one — check with the club or local regulations before you leave.

Methods: For bream and roach, feeder or float work suits the wide, steady flow. Pike, zander and perch give you a predator option, especially when the river has a bit of colour.
