Delkim NiteLite V2 Illuminating Hanger Set
NiteLite V2 Illuminating Hanger Set
An illuminated hanger, carbon stabiliser and adjustable weighting in one package. Properly useful for Delkim owners, but it’s not a universal bobbin or a shortcut to more bites.
- Includes the NiteLite v.2 illuminating hanger and SlimCarb carbon-fibre stabiliser arm.
- Supplied with 3g, 5g and 10g C-Slot drag weights.
- Powered through a Delkim NiteLite socket, with no additional batteries required.
- Can be used free-hanging or attached to the SlimCarb stabiliser.
Make sure it’s the right one. This is the set with the NiteLite v.2 hanger, SlimCarb stabiliser, C-Slot weights and fittings for Delkim Plus and Digital range alarms—not a bite alarm itself.

Who it suits
Is it right for you?
Great for
- Delkim owners fishing evenings and nights. Alarm-linked illumination gives you a visible hanger without a separate battery to maintain.
- Carpers who want adjustable indication. The supplied stabiliser and weights let you adapt the hanger rather than stick with one fixed arrangement.
Maybe skip if
- Anglers using other alarm brands. The illumination relies on the Delkim NiteLite socket; this isn’t a generic plug-in option.
- Day-ticket anglers keeping things basic. A plain hanger may cover their needs without the extra cable and illuminated functions.

Quick verdict
A cracking fit for an existing Delkim setup
The appeal is how neatly everything works together. You get illuminated indication powered by your alarm, a stabiliser for controlling unwanted movement and weights for adjusting the setup to your fishing.
We haven’t tested it on the bank, so this is a features-based verdict. It looks a sensible upgrade for compatible Delkim owners who fish nights; far less compelling if you only need a basic daytime bobbin.

The carbon-fibre stabiliser, protected cable and non-corroding clip suggest thoughtful construction, although long-term durability is untested here.
Alarm-linked illumination and adjustable indication offer a useful combination on paper, without a hands-on performance claim.
Clear indication can help you interpret line movement, but the hanger itself won’t create more feeding opportunities.
The self-adjusting clip and lack of separate hanger batteries reduce faff, though cable routing and setup still need care.
The included arm, weights and fittings make a useful package for Delkim owners, but value remains price-dependent.

The full rundown
Everything you'll want to know about the Delkim NiteLite V2 Illuminating Hanger Set
If you already fish with Delkims, the NiteLite V2 Illuminating Hanger Set makes a fair bit of sense. It brings the hanger into the same system as your alarm, rather than leaving you with a separate glowing bobbin doing its own thing. That’s the main draw here, mate. You’re buying visible line indication with alarm-linked lighting, plus the bits to adjust how the hanger behaves. You’re not buying another bite alarm, and you’re certainly not buying something that will magically turn a blank into a brace.
The package includes the NiteLite v.2 illuminating hanger, a SlimCarb carbon-fibre stabiliser arm and three C-Slot drag weights: 3g, 5g and 10g. You also get fittings for Delkim’s Plus and Digital range alarms. That matters when comparing it with a hanger sold on its own, because the arm and weighting options are part of what you’re getting here. There’s enough flexibility to choose between a straightforward free-hanging arrangement and a stabilised setup without having to buy the arm separately.
Lighting is where this set earns its place beside a compatible Delkim. Power comes through the alarm’s NiteLite socket, so there’s no additional battery tucked inside the hanger for you to forget about. Its LED replicates the alarm’s flashing, latching, brightness adjustment and Night Marking functions. In plain bank talk, the hanger lighting works with the alarm rather than independently of it. That’s dead handy after dark, when you want to glance at the rods and make sense of what’s happening without adding unnecessary faff.
The clear body is moulded from high-visibility, light-dispersing material, with purple, red, white, blue, green and yellow LED options available. Colour choice is mostly about what you find easy to pick out and how you want your setup arranged. Don’t mistake a tidy row of matching lights for better bite detection, though. The useful bit is having a visible indicator below the rod while the alarm handles its job. We haven’t used this set on the bank, so we can’t judge its real-world visibility from personal experience.
The connection uses a 150mm CatFlex2 cable, with its wires protected by a flexible black stainless-steel coil. That’s a purposeful bit of construction on something that lives around rod rests, banksticks and tackle bags. It still deserves sensible handling. Give the cable room to sit naturally, and avoid trapping it when you pack the rods and alarms away. An integrated setup is lovely when everything is laid out properly; less lovely if you bundle it up in a hurry after a wet night.
At the line end, there’s an integral magnetic clip described as self-adjusting, non-twist and non-corroding. The attraction is straightforward attachment without fiddling with a manually adjusted clip every time. Even so, make checking the line’s seating and release part of setting up, especially if you’ve changed mainline. A hanger needs to do its job while the rod is waiting, then let you lift into a take cleanly. That little check is better than assuming every bit of terminal indication will behave perfectly straight from the bag.
Having both the SlimCarb and the supplied weights gives you choices when the swim changes. Free-hanging may be all you want in a sheltered spot; the stabiliser offers a way to control unwanted movement when conditions get awkward. Weighting needs thought as well. Start with the lightest loading that gives you useful indication for your chosen line arrangement, then adjust if necessary. Don’t pile on weight simply because it’s included. Close-in slack-line fishing and keeping a line controlled further out aren’t the same job.
So who should be looking at it? Mainly carpers with compatible Delkims who spend enough time fishing nights to appreciate joined-up illumination. It’s also appealing if you like being able to alter your indicator setup rather than live with one fixed arrangement. For a few daylight hours down the local lake, a basic hanger may be perfectly bob on. This set’s strongest argument is convenience within the Delkim system—not promised extra fish, and not a reason to replace perfectly serviceable alarms from another brand.

Our take
Integration is the big selling point
The NiteLite doesn’t just glow independently. Its LED follows the compatible alarm’s flashing, latching, brightness adjustment and Night Marking functions.
That joined-up operation is the reason to choose it. The stabiliser and weights add useful flexibility, but the Delkim connection is what separates it from a straightforward hanger.
The kit
Closer look: more than a glowing bobbin
The hanger, stabiliser and weights each do a different job. The hanger shows line movement, the LED adds alarm-linked visibility, and the SlimCarb gives you a stabilised alternative to letting the hanger move freely. The C-Slot weights let you alter the loading. It’s a useful collection of parts, rather than illumination being the whole story.
The protected CatFlex2 cable and non-corroding magnetic clip are encouraging design choices for kit that will encounter damp mornings and wet hands. They aren’t proof of long-term durability, though. We haven’t put this set through repeated sessions, so build quality here is judged from its construction, not a season of abuse.
Worth knowing. The included Plus and Digital fittings don’t make this a universal illuminated hanger. Check your particular Delkim has the appropriate NiteLite connection before buying, especially if you’re sorting out an older or mixed alarm setup.
On the bank
Who it suits: night anglers already on Delkims
If your Delkims regularly come out for overnighters, this is a logical companion. You get a visible hanger linked to the alarm’s lighting behaviour without adding another battery routine. The case is strongest when you actually use those night functions, not simply because illuminated indicators look smart on the pod.
Anglers moving between sheltered margins and more exposed swims may also appreciate the choice of free-hanging or stabilised operation. Set the hanger with useful travel available rather than leaving it already at the top or bottom of its movement. That gives you room to see changes in either direction, including a drop-back.
If you use another alarm brand, or mostly fish short daytime sessions, the appeal drops off sharply. There’s no need to complicate a setup that already tells you what you need to know. And whatever indicator you choose, it doesn’t replace staying close to your rods and fishing responsibly around snags.
Quick answers
FAQs in full: power, contents and setup
Does it need batteries? Not separately. The hanger draws power through the Delkim NiteLite socket. Its LED follows flashing, latching, brightness adjustment and Night Marking, so the attraction is shared operation with the alarm. You still need to maintain the alarm’s own power supply, of course.
What’s in the set? You get the NiteLite v.2 illuminating hanger, the SlimCarb carbon-fibre stabiliser, 3g, 5g and 10g C-Slot drag weights, and fittings for Plus and Digital range alarms. The CatFlex2 cable is 150mm long. Don’t confuse those individual weight sizes with the hanger’s own body weight.
Must you fit the stabiliser? Nope. Free-hanging use is an intended option, not a workaround. Fit the SlimCarb when you want the stabilised arrangement, and adjust weighting to suit your line setup. Before settling down for a brew, check movement and line release so you know everything is sitting properly.
