Quick verdict

A cracking coolbag for organised anglers

The Fox Aquos Camolite Coolbag is a robust, waterproof bit of luggage that makes a lot of sense for carp and coarse anglers who want bait, food or drinks kept cool and protected. The hard-wearing EVA shell, insulated walls and airtight-sealing double zips give it a proper edge over a basic soft coolbag.

The full rundown

Everything you'll want to know about the Fox Aquos Camolite Coolbag

A coolbag might not be the flashiest bit of kit on your barrow, mate, but it can make a big difference to how tidy and comfortable a session feels. The Fox Aquos Camolite Coolbag is built for exactly that job: keeping bait, food and drinks together, protected and cooler when the weather’s doing its best to turn everything soggy.

It comes in three useful sizes: 15L, 20L and 30L. That’s a decent spread, because a quick few-hour wander with a handful of bait needs a very different bag to a long summer social with enough grub to feed the swim team. The 15L is the compact choice, the 20L looks like the natural middle ground and the 30L is the one for properly loading up.

Fox has gone for hard-wearing waterproof EVA rather than a floppy fabric construction. That gives the bag a more structured feel and means it should stand up better to wet grass, muddy banks and the odd clumsy drop. It also makes cleaning up bait spills far less of a faff. A quick wipe is a lot nicer than scrubbing dried particle out of fabric.

Inside, the walls have high-density insulation. That’s handy for chilled drinks and lunch, obviously, but it can also help when you’re carrying bait that you don’t want baking in the back of the motor during a warm spell. For anglers using meat, maggots, pellets or prepared particle, a cooler, more stable environment is a proper bonus.

The waterproof double zips are another big part of the design. They’re 10mm zips and are intended to create an airtight seal when closed. That helps keep rain out and gives the contents a bit more protection from the general dampness you get around a lake. Just keep the lid properly shut and don’t treat it like a dry bag you can chuck in the margins.

The construction is reassuringly purposeful too. The walls are 1mm thick and the base is beefed up to 1.5mm, so the bottom gets extra protection where it matters. Moulded scuff pads help shield the outside, while the polyester carry straps make it straightforward to lift from the car, barrow or bivvy.

The 15L version measures 38 x 25 x 29.5cm externally, with an internal space of 34 x 20 x 20cm. That’s a tidy size for a short day, a stalking kit-up or keeping a few essentials together without dragging a massive box around. Its model code is CEV024.

The 20L model, CEV025, steps up to 44.5 x 29.5 x 29.5cm externally and 39 x 25 x 20cm inside. That extra room should suit most standard day sessions nicely, giving you space for bait and personal provisions without getting daft. The 30L CEV026 is the big bruiser, measuring 50 x 37 x 29.5cm outside and 45 x 32 x 20cm internally.

The overlapping khaki lids give it that familiar Camolite look, and it’ll pair neatly with other Fox luggage. More importantly, the format is simple and useful. There are no fussy compartments to get in the way, just a sturdy insulated tub for the things you want kept together. For a lot of anglers, that’s exactly the ticket.

Our take

The useful bit isn’t just keeping your bait cold

The Aquos Camolite Coolbag is really about keeping your session kit sorted. Use it for boilies, pellets, particle, meat, maggots, lunch or cans, depending on your approach. The insulated walls help maintain a cooler interior, while the waterproof EVA construction makes spills and damp grass far less of a drama.

That makes it especially useful when you’re travelling between swims, fishing a full day or setting up for an overnight. The khaki lid and Camolite styling will sit nicely with Fox luggage, but the main attraction is practical: it’s easy to carry, easy to clean and built to cope with proper bank abuse.

Built for the bank

A tough, insulated tub with a proper seal

The Aquos Camolite Coolbag is made from waterproof EVA, with 1mm walls and a tougher 1.5mm base. That gives it more structure than a standard fabric cooler and helps it cope with being moved around on a barrow, stood on damp ground or squeezed into the back of the car.

High-density insulation lines the walls, while the waterproof double 10mm zips are designed to create an airtight seal. The overlapping khaki lids, moulded scuff pads and polyester carry straps keep the design practical rather than overcomplicated.

Worth knowing. The internal height is 20cm across the listed sizes, so think of it as a broad, low-profile storage bag rather than a tall coolbox. That’s dead handy for bait tubs, food boxes and cans, but check the dimensions of any containers you plan to use.

Choose your size

From quick trips to fully loaded sessions

The 15L version is the neatest option for short sessions, stalking or anglers who carry a modest amount of bait. It won’t dominate the barrow and is easy to lift in and out of the car. The 20L is the likely sweet spot for a normal day on the carp or coarse gear, with enough room for bait, lunch and a few cold drinks.

Go for the 30L if you’re out for longer, fishing with a mate or simply like having plenty of bait and provisions to hand. It has a larger footprint, though, so measure your barrow bag or car boot space before committing. The rigid shape is useful when packed but won’t fold away when empty.

For bait, keep wet or oily items in sealed bags or containers even though the EVA shell is waterproof. That keeps cleaning simple and stops smells hanging around. After a session, wipe out any crumbs or spills and leave the lid open to air before storing it.

Your questions answered

The useful stuff before you buy

Can it replace a full bait station? Not really. It’s a coolbag, not a tackle box, so there aren’t built-in trays or clever rig storage. Its strength is keeping bait, grub and drinks protected in one straightforward, insulated space.

Is the 20L the best all-round choice? For many anglers, yes. It offers a useful step up from the compact 15L without the full bulk of the 30L. But if you’re fishing long sessions in hot weather or carrying bait for two, the larger version gives you more breathing room.

Worth knowing. The three models use the same core design, but the external footprint changes quite a bit. Make your choice around the space available in your barrow and vehicle, not just the litre figure on the label.

Your questions answered

What anglers want to know

The stuff you’d ask your mate on the next peg. Straight answers, no waffle.

01

Which size Fox Aquos Camolite Coolbag should I choose?

The 15L is the compact option for shorter sessions or a smaller amount of bait and food. The 20L is the sensible all-rounder for most day sessions, while the 30L gives you room for more supplies on longer trips or when fishing with a mate.

02

Can it be used for carp bait?

Yes. It’s well suited to carrying boilies, pellets, particle, meat and other bait that benefits from being kept cool and protected. Use sealed containers or bags for wet bait, and give the inside a clean after the session.

03

Are the zips waterproof?

The double zips are designed to be waterproof and create an airtight seal. That helps protect the contents from rain and splashes, although it’s still sensible to keep the bag upright and avoid deliberately submerging it.
