Who it suits

Is it right for you?

Great for

  • Coarse and match anglers. It keeps rigs, hook links and terminal tackle together in a compact format that won’t eat half your seatbox or carryall.
  • Anglers building a modular luggage setup. It works nicely inside a larger bag, giving your smaller boxes and rig cases their own tidy, protected compartment.

Maybe skip if

  • Anglers wanting one bag for a whole session. Eight litres is useful but limited. It won’t replace a main carryall for clothing, bait tubs, reels or cooking gear.
  • Anyone carrying bulky tackle. Large feeders, floats in tubes and chunky accessories may quickly make the compact interior feel cramped.

Quick verdict

Verdict

The Guru Fusion 800 Carryall is a proper handy bit of coarse-fishing luggage. Its 8-litre capacity, wipe-clean EVA build and see-through tinted lid make it a neat home for terminal tackle, rigs and small bait items.

It’s not a full session bag, and that’s the point. If your box is forever full of loose rig cases and hook links, this should bring a bit of order without adding loads of weight or faff.

It should protect and organise rig cases, boxes and terminal tackle neatly, while the tinted lid makes access quicker.

It won’t catch fish by itself, but faster access to the right rig or terminal bits can make changing tactics less of a faff.

Ease of Use
9.2/10

The compact format, wipe-clean shell, Guru puller and see-through lid are all genuinely practical on the bank.

Value for Money
8.6/10

It offers useful specialist storage, though you’ll still need to buy the rig cases or boxes that make the capacity work best.

The full rundown

Everything you'll want to know about the Guru Fusion 800 Carryall

If your terminal tackle lives in three different pockets, two battered rig boxes and the bottom of your carryall, the Guru Fusion 800 Carryall could be just the tidy-up job you’re after. It’s a compact EVA luggage case built around the stuff that always seems to go missing when the rods are off: rigs, hook links, feeders, hooks and all those little bits.

This isn’t a big session bag pretending to be small. It’s a dedicated organiser. The 8-litre capacity gives you enough room for a serious stash of coarse-fishing essentials, while keeping the whole thing neat and easy to lift. For match anglers, it makes plenty of sense as a focused bit of luggage rather than another massive holdall to lug round the lake.

The clever bit is the layout you can create inside it. Guru says the Fusion 800 can take up to six large Guru Rig Cases. That makes it a natural home for pre-tied rigs, spare hook lengths and different setups for changing depths or methods. You can keep pellet waggler, feeder and margin gear together without having to rummage through one giant tackle bag.

There’s also room for several long rig cases plus a couple of rig boxes. That’s a useful combination if you like keeping your hook lengths separate from your feeders, floats and small terminal bits. The carryall should suit anglers who prefer a modular setup: one bag for rigs, one for bait, and one main carryall for everything else.

The 0.8 mm EVA construction is a big part of the appeal. EVA is tough, light and easy to wipe clean, so the odd squashed expander pellet or smear of groundbait shouldn’t turn into a permanent stain. Give the exterior a wipe down and it should be ready for the next bite-time. Much less faff than a floppy fabric pouch.

It’s water resistant too, which is reassuring when the weather turns a bit grim or the bag gets set down on damp grass. That doesn’t mean you should lob it in the lake or leave the zip open in a downpour, mind. Think useful protection from splashes and wet bank conditions, not a submarine for your tackle.

The tinted lid is another properly handy touch. You can see what’s inside without opening the bag, so finding the right rig case is quicker. It also helps protect the contents from sunlight. That matters if your hooks, lines and small plastic tackle are sitting in the sun during a long summer match or a busy day in the margins.

The reversed zips and Guru puller should make opening it straightforward, even when you’re wearing damp or cold hands. The shape is compact enough to slot into a bigger luggage system, but do check the dimensions before buying. Retail listings show slightly different measurements, so your best bet is to measure the space in your seatbox, trolley or main carryall.

In use, the Fusion 800 looks most at home with organised anglers who want to arrive with a plan. Fill it with labelled rig cases, a couple of terminal boxes and your hook-link bits, and you’ve got a grab-and-go unit for the session. It won’t make a blank impossible, sadly, but it can stop a lost swivel or buried feeder costing you valuable fishing time.

The main limitation is simply its size. Eight litres is cracking for focused tackle storage, but it won’t swallow bulky bait tubs, clothing or general session kit. If you’re prone to carrying every float, feeder and spare spool you own, you may fill it faster than expected. Used for what it’s designed for, though, the Guru Fusion 800 Carryall is a neat, durable and properly sensible bit of coarse luggage.

Our take

Small bag, big tidy-up

This is best viewed as a compact organiser rather than a traditional carryall. It gives your finer bits of kit a dedicated, protected space, whether that’s clipped into a match setup or tucked inside a bigger holdall.

A compact tackle organiser

What you’re buying

The Fusion 800 is an 8-litre EVA carryall for terminal tackle, bait, hook links and rig storage. Its 0.8 mm EVA shell gives it a firm, lightweight feel, while the water-resistant construction helps keep splashes and damp away from your finer bits.

The tinted lid is especially useful on a busy peg. You can see which rig case or box you need before opening the bag, and the tint helps protect the contents from sunlight. Reversed zips with a Guru puller finish off a practical, no-nonsense design.

Worth knowing. Retailers list slightly different dimensions: 220 × 360 × 100 mm and 370 × 230 × 90 mm both appear. Check the space in your luggage setup before ordering, especially if it needs to fit inside a seatbox or tight carryall.

Built for organised coarse anglers

Where it earns its keep

Match anglers should get plenty from it. Six large Guru Rig Cases can be stored inside, or you can combine several long rig cases with a couple of rig boxes. That gives you a tidy spread of hook lengths, rigs and terminal tackle without taking a huge bag to the peg.

It also suits short-session and commercial anglers who want a dedicated grab bag for the essentials. Keep feeder bits in one box, floats and shot in another, then add your hook-link cases. When the fish switch on, the right tackle is close at hand rather than buried in the main luggage.

It’s less suitable as your only bag. The capacity is deliberately compact, so bulky bait, clothing, reels and general accessories need another home. Think modular storage, not an all-day kitchen sink carryall.

The useful stuff

Quick answers before you buy

Is it easy to clean? Yes. The EVA exterior is designed to be wiped down, which is handy after bait, groundbait or damp bank work. That keeps it looking smarter than a fabric bag that’s picked up every bit of lake-side muck.

Can it protect rigs in wet weather? The water-resistant construction gives useful protection from splashes and damp conditions. Keep the lid properly zipped, but don’t treat it as a fully waterproof dry bag.

Does it replace a tackle box? Not on its own. It’s luggage for carrying and organising rig cases and boxes, rather than a compartmented box packed with terminal tackle. The advantage is that you can arrange the contents around your own fishing.

On paper

Pros & cons

What we like

  • Compact and lightweight for match and short-session use.
  • Easy-clean EVA exterior is spot on for bait crumbs, groundbait dust and general bank grime.
  • Tinted lid makes finding the right box quicker and helps shield contents from sunlight.
  • Good capacity for rigs and terminal tackle without becoming a bulky lump.

Worth knowing

  • The compact shape limits it to organised tackle rather than clothing, reels or larger accessories.
  • Rig cases and boxes aren’t included, so filling the space can add to the overall spend.
  • The unusual listed dimensions may make it worth checking your storage space before buying.
