Who it suits

Is it right for you?

Great for

  • Solo anglers fishing longer sessions. You get a generous footprint, proper headroom and space for the kit that tends to spread across the swim.
  • Carp and coarse anglers facing mixed weather. The waterproof fabric, HD groundsheet, vapour shield and doorway protection panel make it well equipped for wet, windy banks.

Maybe skip if

  • Mobile anglers making lots of short moves. At 15kg complete, plus a 144cm pack-down length, it’s more of a session shelter than a lightweight roamer.
  • Anglers with very limited transport space. The packed length and extended footprint need a decent amount of room in the car or barrow.

Quick verdict

A cracking solo shelter with room to breathe

The Nash Titan T1 is a big, capable one-man shelter for anglers who want more than a tight sleeping pod. There’s proper headroom, useful living space and a weather-ready package straight out of the bag.

At 15kg complete, it isn’t the lightest option for a quick evening dash. But for longer sessions, changeable weather and anyone fed up with feeling boxed in, this is a bob-on bit of kit.

The full rundown

Everything you'll want to know about the Nash Titan T1 Bivvy

The Nash Titan T1 is aimed at the angler who wants a bit more than a basic one-man bivvy. It’s still a solo shelter, obviously, but the “extended-space” bit matters. You’re getting room to move, stash tackle and sit out a proper spell of weather without feeling like you’ve been zipped into a tiny green coffin.

At 183cm high, it gives you useful headroom for a one-man setup. The overall footprint is 258cm wide by 210cm deep, so there’s room for a bedchair and the usual session clutter. You know the score: brew kit, bait tubs, waterproofs, unhooking gear and a bag that somehow needs to be everywhere at once.

The 160cm door height is another dead handy touch. It won’t turn the bivvy into a standing room palace, but getting in and out is less of a grovelling mission. That’s welcome when the alarm goes at silly o’clock, especially if the rain’s hammering down and you’re trying not to boot your tackle bag across the swim.

Weather protection is clearly a big part of the Titan T1’s job. The fabric is rated to a 10,000mm hydrostatic head, giving it the sort of waterproof specification you’d expect from a proper session shelter. Pitch it square, tension the fabric and use the supplied storm poles sensibly, and it’s built to handle the usual UK mix of showers, wind and sideways drizzle.

Nash has also included an HD groundsheet, rather than leaving you to buy one separately. That adds 2kg to the carry weight, taking the complete setup to 15kg, but it gives the bivvy a tougher, cleaner floor for wet grass, mud and the odd snaggy swim. It also helps make the shelter feel more like a proper base for a longer stay.

Inside, the vapour shield is designed to reduce condensation drip. That’s a smart feature for chilly nights when warm air meets cold fabric. It won’t cancel condensation by magic — ventilation and sensible pitching still matter — but it should help keep the dreaded cold-water splatter off your sleeping bag and gear.

The doorway setup is nicely flexible too. You get a fold-back doorway protection panel, plus Velcro mosquito-mesh and PVC centre window panels. So you can open the front right up, keep bugs out during warmer months, or use the PVC panels when you want a bit more cover from wind and rain. That’s useful across the seasons.

Storm poles adjust from 48 to 82 inches, giving you some flexibility when setting the front up. The package includes one tension bar, two storm poles and Nash T pegs in a bag, so the main bits needed to get the shelter standing are already covered. There’s a carry bag too, which keeps the whole lot together between sessions.

The trade-off is portability. Complete with poles and groundsheet, the Titan T1 weighs 15kg, while the bivvy alone is 13kg. Packed down, it measures 144cm long by 30cm wide. That’s not outrageous for an extended-space shelter, but it’s a proper consideration if you’re walking miles to the swim or squeezing everything into a small motor.

For the solo angler who values comfort over going ultra-light, though, the package makes plenty of sense. You get space, serious wet-weather credentials and useful little touches that make day-to-day bivvy life easier. It’s not the choice for a lightning-fast roving session, but for settling in, getting the rods off and riding out a bite-time, the Titan T1 looks like a very capable home from home.

Our take

The angle

This is less about shaving every gram and more about making solo sessions comfortable. The extended shape gives you room for your bedchair, kit and a bit of elbow room without stepping up to a full two-man shelter.

The internal vapour shield, HD groundsheet and fold-back doorway protection panel make it especially appealing when the weather turns properly grim. You get a shelter designed for real bank life, not just a roof over your head.

A roomy solo setup

What you’re buying

The Titan T1 is a one-man extended-space shelter with a 183cm height, 258cm width and 210cm depth. That’s a generous layout for one angler, giving your bedchair and tackle some breathing space rather than forcing everything into a tight wedge.

The 10,000mm hydrostatic head fabric is backed up by an HD groundsheet, fold-back doorway protection panel and adjustable storm poles. The front can be configured with Velcro mosquito-mesh or PVC centre window panels, so you can tune the shelter to the weather and season.

Worth knowing. The 15kg complete weight includes the bivvy poles and 2kg HD groundsheet. The bivvy-only figure is 13kg, so think of this as a substantial session shelter rather than a lightweight overnighter.

Match it to your fishing

Room for proper sessions

This is a strong fit for anglers who stay put for a night or several days. The extra internal room is useful when the forecast turns rough, when you need to dry waterproofs, or when your kit starts multiplying around the bedchair. It’s also handy for coarse-match anglers who want a dependable shelter between spells of fishing, particularly on exposed venues.

For warm-weather sessions, the mosquito-mesh option lets you keep airflow moving while blocking insects. In colder or wetter conditions, the PVC panels and doorway protection give you a more enclosed front. Keep ventilation sensible, especially overnight, and use the vapour shield as part of that overall condensation-control approach.

Worth knowing. Before buying, check your barrow and vehicle setup. The 144cm pack-down length is manageable for many anglers, but it’s not a tiny package. If you’re walking a long way to the margins, the 15kg complete weight will be noticeable.

Quick answers

The bits anglers usually ask

Does it have enough room for a bedchair and tackle? Yes. Its extended-space layout is the main attraction, with a 258cm width and 210cm depth giving you useful room around a solo sleeping setup.

Can you use it in summer? Yes. The Velcro mosquito-mesh centre window panels are there for warmer sessions, while the PVC panels give you a more weatherproof option when the forecast turns.

Is the groundsheet removable? The bivvy and HD groundsheet are listed as separate weight figures, with the complete package weighing 15kg and the bivvy-only weight listed at 13kg. That confirms the groundsheet is a separate component of the setup.
