Who it suits

Is it right for you?

Great for

  • Anglers doing long carp or coarse-fishing sessions. The roomy footprint, inner capsule and proper weather protection make it comfortable when you’re on the bank for a few days.
  • Fishermen who prioritise shelter and liveability over low weight. It gives you standing height, useful space and a more protected setup than a stripped-back one-man shelter.

Maybe skip if

  • Mobile anglers who move swims regularly. The complete 16kg weight and long pack length can become a faff when you’re leapfrogging around a venue.
  • Anyone fishing tight, compact swims. The 276cm width and 228cm depth need room, especially once your bedchair, bags and rods are in position.

Quick verdict

A cracking one-man shelter for serious sessions

The Nash Titan T1 Pro is a big, capable one-man bivvy with proper weather protection and a full inner capsule included. It’s roomy, sturdy and very well suited to long carp or coarse-fishing sessions where comfort matters.

The catch is the bulk. At 16kg complete, it’s no featherweight, and the 142cm pack length needs a decent barrow or a bit of planning. If you want maximum protection rather than minimum luggage, though, it’s a bob-on bit of kit.

The full rundown

Everything you'll want to know about the Nash Titan T1 Pro Bivvy

The Nash Titan T1 Pro is the sort of one-man bivvy you buy when a tiny shelter has started to feel a bit naff. It’s roomy, tall and built around proper session comfort. You get enough space to live in rather than simply hide from the rain, which makes a big difference when the rods are quiet and you’re settling in for a few days.

At 276cm wide, 228cm deep and 183cm high, this is a sizeable shelter for one angler. The height is the first thing you’ll notice. A 158cm door gives you a decent opening, while the overall height lets you sit up and move about without feeling boxed in. It’s not a palace, obviously, but compared with a cramped one-man brolly, it feels far more civilised.

The inner mesh capsule is the clever bit. It measures 170cm high, 252cm wide and 208cm deep, so you still retain useful space once it’s clipped into place. It also has a PVC base, giving you a cleaner, more enclosed area for your bedchair, bags and clothing. That’s proper handy when the ground is damp, or when you’d rather keep the inside of the bivvy separated from the mud and mozzies.

The capsule is removable too, so you’re not locked into one setup. Keep it fitted for extra protection and a tidier living space, or strip it out when you want the full shelter volume. Without the inner, the bivvy comes down to 12.5kg; with it fitted, the complete package weighs 16kg including the storm poles. Either way, this isn’t ultralight kit. It’s a substantial shelter designed to stay put.

The outer is made from 420D PU-coated blackout nylon. In plain English, that means a tough, weather-focused fabric with a darker interior and less unwanted light coming through. That’s useful at first light, especially if you’ve had a late one after a screaming take. It also helps make the shelter feel calmer during bright days, rather than turning it into a greenhouse the moment the sun comes up.

Ventilation is handled by four double-zipped external climate panels. You can open them up when the weather is kind and get air moving through the shelter, then close them down when the wind starts bullying the swim. The supplied Velcro mozzi mesh centre panel gives you another option in warmer weather, letting air in while helping keep the creepy-crawlies out.

The storm setup is sensibly covered. You get two adjustable storm poles with a range from 48 to 82 inches, plus a tension bar and Nash T pegs. That gives you the support to get the front and structure sitting properly, rather than relying on a loose, saggy setup. On an exposed lake, take the time to get the guying and pegging spot on. A big shelter catches weather if you leave it half-hearted.

There’s a trade-off for all that space and kit, mind. The packdown length is 142cm, with a packed width of 36cm. That’s a long carry bag, and it can be a bit of a faff on smaller barrows or when the car’s already rammed with rods, bait and a mountain of brew gear. The 16kg complete weight is manageable with a decent trolley, but you’ll feel it if you’re dragging everything through a long, snaggy walk.

On the bank, the Titan T1 Pro makes most sense when you’re planning to settle into a swim rather than hop around all day. It’ll suit a bedchair, sleeping bag, clothing and the usual bits without forcing everything into a pile. For cold, wet sessions and longer campaigns, that extra comfort is worth having. If your fishing is all about travelling light, quick moves and squeezing into tiny swims, it’s probably more bivvy than you need. For everyone else, it’s a proper capable shelter with a lot going for it.

Our take

The big draw is comfort without giving up protection

This isn’t a tiny shelter you squeeze into with your bedchair wedged against the sides. The Titan T1 Pro gives you proper standing height, a wide footprint and a removable inner capsule that adds a cleaner, more protected living space.

That makes it especially appealing for long weekends, colder weather and venues where wind and rain can turn a bite-time into a proper slog. It’s a serious shelter, not a lightweight overnighter.

Shelters · What you’re buying

A roomy shell with a useful inner capsule

The Titan T1 Pro is a one-man shelter with the footprint and height to make longer sessions feel less cramped. Its 420D PU-coated blackout nylon outer is built for protection, while the 183cm overall height and 158cm door height make getting in, out and moving around far less awkward.

The removable mesh capsule adds another layer of comfort. It has a PVC base and a generous internal footprint, helping keep wet ground, insects and general bank mess away from your sleeping area. Remove it when you want the shelter stripped back or need every bit of internal volume.

Four double-zipped climate panels give you control over airflow. Add the Velcro mozzi mesh centre panel in warmer conditions, or use the PVC centre panel when you want a more sealed front. The tension bar, two adjustable storm poles, Nash T pegs and carry bag are all included.

Worth knowing. The complete weight is 16kg, but the outer shelter without the mesh capsule is 12.5kg. The inner weighs 3.5kg, and an optional HD groundsheet adds another 2kg. Plan your loadout before a long walk to the swim, mate.

On the bank

Best for comfort-led sessions

This is aimed squarely at the angler who wants a proper base camp. If you’re staying put for a weekend, fishing through rubbish weather or carrying enough kit for a longer campaign, the generous dimensions are a big plus. There’s room to sit up, sort rigs and keep your essentials close without feeling completely hemmed in.

It also suits anglers who like an inner capsule for a cleaner, more enclosed setup. That PVC base is particularly handy in damp swims, and the mesh adds peace of mind when the weather turns warm and the mozzies start acting like they own the place.

It’s less convincing for highly mobile fishing. The footprint needs space, the pack is long and the full package is a fair lump. If you’re walking miles, moving after every few hours or fishing tiny pegs, a lighter shelter will be less of a faff.

Quick answers

The bits you’ll want to know

Can it be used without the inner? Yes. That gives you the lower 12.5kg shelter weight and a more open interior. Fit the capsule when you want the added PVC floor and mesh protection.

How do you get the best from the climate panels? Use them actively rather than leaving everything shut. Open them for airflow on warm days, and close or partially close them when rain and wind are pushing through. The mesh centre panel is the handy middle ground for insect-heavy weather.

What should you check before pitching? Look at the swim width, depth and overhead space first. Then get the shelter square, use the tension bar and peg it properly. With a shelter this size, a rushed setup can leave you fighting sag, flapping fabric or awkward door access.

Worth knowing. The outer dimensions are 276cm wide by 228cm deep, so measure your chosen peg before committing. A cracking shelter is no good if it hangs over a path, crowds the margins or leaves your rods in a daft position.
