Who it suits

Is it right for you?

Great for

  • Carp anglers fishing deeper water. The denser weave and slightly extended breakdown time help the parcel arrive on the bottom before opening up.
  • Coarse and carp anglers using fine bait. Micro pellets, fry crumb and maggots stay contained more neatly, making accurate little offerings much easier.

Maybe skip if

  • Anglers wanting to fire out large quantities of bait. The narrow fine-mesh format is aimed at compact parcels rather than big feed bags.
  • Anyone who dislikes careful preparation. Fine mesh rewards a tidy loading technique, and rushing it can make the process more fiddly than standard mesh.

Quick verdict

A proper fine-mesh PVA workhorse

The Nash Webcast Ultra Weave is cracking kit when you want small, neat parcels of fine bait to land accurately and hold together until they reach the deck. The extra-fine weave gives you more control than standard mesh, especially with micro pellets, crumb and live maggots.

It’s not the cheapest way to chuck bait out, and the narrow sizes need a little more patience when loading. But for deep water, warmer conditions or delicate particles, this is a bob-on option that removes a fair bit of faff from PVA fishing.

The full rundown

Everything you'll want to know about the Nash Webcast Ultra Weave PVA

PVA mesh can be brilliant, mate. Get it right and you’ve got a tidy little parcel of bait landing bang on the money, right beside your hookbait. Get it wrong and you’re left with a soggy tube, split mesh and a load of faff when the rods should be off.

The Nash Webcast Ultra Weave is aimed squarely at that neat, accurate style of fishing. It uses an ultra-fine 0.2 mm weave, made denser with additional PVA fibres. That gives it more body than a basic open mesh and helps it stay together for longer on the way down.

That extra hold time matters in deeper water. A normal mesh parcel can start breaking down before it reaches the bottom, especially if you’re fishing a long drop or there’s a bit of tow. This one is designed to resist that early breakdown, so your bait has a better chance of arriving where you actually want it.

It’s also handy when the water warms up. The breakdown time is slightly extended for warmer conditions, giving you a bit more confidence through spring and summer. You still need to match the mesh to the depth and water temperature, but there’s less panic about the parcel vanishing halfway down.

The fine weave is particularly useful with small bait. Micro pellets, fry crumb and fine particles can slip through a coarse mesh far too quickly. Live maggots are another good example. They’ll wriggle and push at the mesh, but the tighter weave helps slow them escaping before the bag reaches the deck.

There’s a proper edge here for margin work and tight spots, too. A compact parcel beside a rig gives the fish a small, concentrated mouthful rather than a huge spread of feed. That can be just the ticket when carp are mooching around the margins or when the swim has seen plenty of bait already.

The system comes on a dispenser or loading tube and includes a plunger. That sounds like a small detail, but it makes a difference on the bank. You can load the mesh, compress the contents and form a more compact parcel without juggling loose PVA all over your bivvy table.

A compact bag is also more aerodynamic. Clip it up with the rig and it flies straighter than a floppy, uneven parcel. That’s useful when you’re pushing a cast to a far margin, a little island or a clipped-up line where accuracy matters more than simply getting bait in the water.

There are a few sizes to pick from. Narrow 23 mm and Wide 37 mm are listed, while some listings also specify Super Narrow 18 mm. Go narrow for tiny parcels and delicate bait, or wide when you need a bit more capacity. The complete system contains 4 m, and separate refills are available in 3 m lengths.

The only real catch is that fine mesh asks for a little care. Don’t ram it full, don’t leave it exposed to damp and don’t expect a tiny tube to carry a bucket of bait. Used for what it’s designed for, though, the Webcast Ultra Weave is a smart bit of terminal tackle. It keeps fine bait together, flies well and gives you a more dependable delivery to the spot.

Our take

The clever bit is the weave

The 0.2 mm weave and additional PVA fibres make this denser than ordinary mesh. That’s the key reason it hangs together for longer and slows tiny bait from leaking out too early.

The result is a compact, aerodynamic parcel that can be clipped up accurately and fished beside a hookbait without spreading the bait all over the swim. Handy stuff when the spot’s tight or the carp are only having a little munch.

A tidy parcel, not a bucket of bait

What you’re buying

This is an ultra-fine PVA mesh system built around a 0.2 mm weave. Nash adds extra PVA fibres to make the weave denser, helping it resist breaking down too early. That makes it a good shout for deeper water and warmer conditions, where a very open mesh can disappear before the parcel reaches the lakebed.

The dispenser tube keeps the mesh organised, while the loading plunger lets you push bait down and create a compact bag. That compact shape casts cleanly and sits neatly beside the rig. The format suits fine particles, micro pellets, fry crumb and maggots rather than great big chunks of bait.

Worth knowing. Diameter matters. Narrow 23 mm is aimed at small, tidy offerings, Wide 37 mm gives you more room, and some listings also specify Super Narrow 18 mm. Check the pack before ordering, as the exact size can make a big difference to how much bait you can load.

Small bait, accurate delivery

Where it earns its keep

This is a strong option for carp anglers fishing deep lakes, canals or reservoirs where the parcel has a fair way to fall. It also suits warmer months, when PVA can break down quicker. A slightly longer-lasting parcel gives you more confidence that the bait is still together during the descent.

Coarse anglers can get plenty from it, too. Maggots, fine pellets and crumb can be delivered beside a feeder-style hookbait or small carp rig without the bait spilling everywhere. In the margins, a tiny parcel can put a concentrated mouthful right next to the hook without overfeeding the swim.

The loading plunger is dead handy when you want repeatable bags. Load a similar amount each time, pinch or tie the end, and you’ve got a consistent little offering ready to clip on. Keep the tube dry and out of direct sun, and don’t overfill the mesh just to save yourself making another bag.

Quick answers before you buy

The bits anglers usually ask about

Can it be used with live maggots? Yes. The fine weave helps slow them escaping, which is useful when you want the parcel to reach the bottom intact. Make sure the bag is properly closed and avoid crushing the mesh while loading.

Is it only for deep water? No. It works in shallower swims as well, but its denser construction becomes especially useful when the drop is deep or the water is warm. In very shallow water, choose the mesh and parcel size with the required breakdown time in mind.

Worth knowing. Refills are sold separately in 3 m lengths, while the complete system contains 4 m. If you’re making bags constantly, keep a refill handy. Running out halfway through a bite-time is a proper pain.
