The lowdown

  • This is the Cliveden Reach stretch between My Lady Ferry and Islet Road, sitting between Cookham and Maidenhead. Keep those two boundary names handy — they’re the useful markers for sorting out which bit you’re looking to fish.
  • You’re on the right bank when looking downstream. That downstream bit matters, so get your bearings before settling in; don’t read it as the right-hand side from whichever way you happen to approach.
  • My Lady Ferry marks the upstream end, while Islet Road marks the downstream limit. Keep your fishing within that named section rather than treating the neighbouring Thames bank as part of the same permission.
  • Roach and dace are the fish specifically mentioned for this reach. That gives you a clear silver-fish angle, but there’s no need to dress it up with promises of big bags or particular productive swims.
  • For parking, Islet Road is listed with postcode SL6 8LE. It’s also the name of the downstream boundary, which makes it a handy reference when getting your trip organised without unnecessary faff.
  • Boulters Lock public car park, SL6 8JB, is the listed alternative. You’ve got two parking options to consider, rather than having to pin the whole trip on finding somewhere at Islet Road.
  • Access comes through a TVAA-affiliated club, not an individual TVAA membership. One important catch: that membership covers TVAA waters, not the separate private fisheries belonging to every other affiliated club.
  • Do the availability check before parting with your quid or loading the car. Bath Road Piscatorial Society and Hartley Wintney Angling Society both list Cliveden, but its omission from TVAA’s current fisheries page needs clearing up first.
  • We're not sure on ticket prices for this one — check with the club or local regulations before you leave.

Methods: Roach and dace are the named targets here. No particular method or swim is specified, so there’s no checked basis for calling it a trotting or feeder banker.
