The lowdown
This Eden Lacy fishery is on the River Eden in Cumbria, near Lazonby and Great Salkeld. The beat is secluded and private, with 1.8 miles of left-bank fishing, 15 named pools and a fishing hut among woodland and wildflowers.
The stretch includes trout water, a high-water pool and spring water, with some bank fishing possible at low water. It is a fly-only beat, and the named seasons are 15 January to 14 October for salmon, 15 March to 30 September for brown trout, and 16 June to 14 March for grayling.

Tips & reports
Our take (editorial, not club advice): on any decent-sized river, a lead that holds bottom without dragging is half the battle — go up in weight before you go up in bait. A bit of extra colour after rain often brings barbel and bream closer in, but a fast-rising, debris-filled river is dangerous; if in doubt, don't. Weather tools built for still lakes don't translate neatly to rivers, so we haven't bolted a lake-style weather score on here.
