The lowdown

  • This is a long LDAA-controlled stretch, running from Stamp End through to Kirkstead Bridge.
  • The water includes approximately 2.5 miles around Ferry Lane at Washingborough, plus the Five Mile area near Fiskerton.
  • Ferry Lane access is at Washingborough, postcode LN4 1AT. Five Mile access is from Five Mile Lane, postcode LN4 1AF.
  • Bardney Lock is another named access point, listed at Bardney, postcode LN3 5UN.
  • At Bardney Lock, fishing is allowed under the bridge and on the side opposite the lock. Handy detail, so don’t go wandering onto the wrong side.
  • Other named locations on the run include Fiskerton Fen, Bardney Village, Southery and Kirkstead Bridge.
  • Floating boat moorings can be fished from October to March. The listed mooring areas include Washingborough, Fiskerton Fen, Bardney Village, Southery and Kirkstead Bridge.
  • The LDAA lists bream, carp, common carp, mirror carp, eel, perch, pike, roach, rudd and tench among the species present.
