The Mill Stream at Offord Cluny is a small, intimate members-only running stream, fed from Black Overfalls Weir. It fishes from the weir pool down to the road bridge, with chub the main draw and some cracking barbel interest too.

Godmanchester Recreation Ground is the society’s best-known stretch on the Great Ouse — a picturesque coarse-fishing venue wrapped around an island between river channels. It’s got that handy riverside-park feel, with fishing possible in almost all weather and river conditions.

Black Overfalls Weir Pool is a members-only Ouse venue with proper variety — chub, shoals of good bream and barbel to a serious size. It’s fed by D and E Section and the New Cut, with fishing available from the pool and the far bank of New Cut.

Portholme Meadow

Portholme Meadow is a cracking, varied bit of River Great Ouse near Godmanchester, with roughly 4.5 miles of fishable bank. It’s run by The London Anglers’ Association and mixes river, navigation, confluence, brook, weir and mill-pool water.

New Cut is a small, shallow, members-only backwater off the River Great Ouse at Offord Cluny. It has no flow these days, but can still turn up good tench, with winter pike the big draw.

E Section (part of OBAS D and E Sections)
River Great Ouse · Club members
The E Section is part of OBAS’s D and E Sections on the River Great Ouse, running along the boat channel between the river and the lock feeding the Triangle’s Lock Cut. It’s a quiet, rarely fished bit of water, mainly because getting there means a proper walk from the car park.
